Measuring impact is fundamental to understanding the effectiveness of our efforts and ensuring that our resources are directed toward initiatives that create meaningful change. By quantifying and evaluating impact, we can refine our strategies, optimize resource allocation and programs, and demonstrate accountability to stakeholders.<\/p>\n

What monitoring and evaluation is and why we do it.<\/h2>\n

Monitoring is the continuous collection of data within a fixed time period, and Evaluation is the analysis of the data collected over time. We do both, in a coordinated manner, for several reasons. It allows us to clearly show our impact while being transparent, understand how our restoration activities affect the ecosystems we are working with, and supports the continuous improvement of our on-the-ground work.<\/p>\n
