The program prepares them to be regeneration agents who can go out into the world and expand their impact.<br \/>The Spring 2024 edition of this popular program took place at our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.valedalama.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Quinta Vale da Lama<\/a> home over 7 days in late April, drawing 22 participants from around Portugal and Europe.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_divider divider_position=&#8221;center&#8221; divider_weight=&#8221;2px&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.25.1&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; max_width=&#8221;50%&#8221; module_alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][\/et_pb_divider][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; custom_padding=&#8221;0px|||||&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Our Ecosystem Regeneration Camps cover a variety of areas, such as regenerative agroforestry, introduction to soil sciences, dryland regeneration, and monitoring and evaluation of ecosystem regeneration activities. Some of the topics are persistent, and some vary based on the season or desired focus area.<br \/>The course was organized and facilitated by our partners, <a href=\"https:\/\/novasdescobertas.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Novas Descobertas Association<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/orladesign.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ORLA Design<\/a>, and has been offered here at Quinta Vale da Lama annually since 2017. The Spring ERCs are residential, with participants camping and staying on the grounds of Novas Descobertas Association, where most of the classroom training takes place. Participants formed a tight bond with each other as they become their own integrated community over the duration of the program.<\/p>\n<p>Mud Valley Foundation offers financial support to the Ecosystem Regneration Camps through grants which help cover some of its operating costs. It\u2019s more than just about learning. Our participants filled out post-program surveys to let us know how we did and what could be improved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some of the key survey results included:<br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>100%<\/strong> said they<strong> are likely to recommend<\/strong> the course to a friend<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>94%<\/strong> said they <strong>were very satisfied<\/strong> with the course as a whole<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>88%<\/strong> said they <strong>improved their knowledge<\/strong> of Ecosystem Regeneration<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_testimonial _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe holistic approach including the community living through to the practical work set the ERC at a level above most residential courses.
