Vinha Velha will host volunteers to perform maintenance and planting actions to support reforestation efforts on the property. Planned activities are:
- 5 November: Erosion control and beaver dam construction using dead trees,
- 12 November: Water retention activities, including building rock dams at a beginning waterline,
- 19 November: Water retention activities. Continuing to build rock dams in a waterline,
- 26 November: Waterline restoration. Planting diverse species on strategic spots at waterlines
Please note that planned activities are subject to change.
The activities are from 9:00am to 1:00pm on each of the event days, and volunteers can join as many sessions as you wish. This event is open to all ages.
