The Ecosystem Regeneration Community of the Barlavento is group of local land owners, stewards, and others interested in ecosystem regeneration working together to address the ongoing challenges related to ecosystem degradation in the western Algarve. This network is working to assure improved soil quality, water availability, biodiversity, and local livelihoods in the Barlavento region.

Mud Valley Foundation helps facilitate this group in a variety of ways, including meeting coordination, marketing and planning support, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, technical infrastructure, and funding.
