Workshops on 4 and 12 November will focus on storing and keeping the water in the landscape. 30 minute theory introduction followed by on-site construction of two small check dams with different techniques to teach and inspire. The session is from 2pm to 7pm. All ages are welcome. Children require adult supervision.

How to get to the event parking:

From Lagos: first navigate to Budens, then north toward Pedralva. Just after you leave Budens, the road turns into a wide dirt road. Drive to this location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/fDAwAq6SJnwqjCnm6, and take a right turn onto the smaller dirt road that goes up the hill. If you get to the village of Pedralva, you have gone too far.

From the direction of: Aljezur/Carrapateira/Sagres navigate directly to Pedralva. To get there, continue straight past Pedralva (having the village on your right side), pass the garbage bins (also on your right) and the road turns into a dirt road. On the dirt road take the 1st left that goes up the hill. This is the location where you will turn left: https://maps.app.goo.gl/fDAwAq6SJnwqjCnm6

Once you have turned off the wide dirt road just south of Pedralva
Follow the road to the top and continue until you get to the Y-junction. Take the right. 200m after this, there is an option to turn left, take it. Be careful not to miss this one, it’s a sharp turn to the left. Continue up the road up until you arrive at the parking location:

To get there after parking, continue the road that goes down. After 100m you meet a 4-way crossing with an option to go into the field. Go into the field and follow the path, it will take you to where you need to be.
